We do not collect, store, share, or transmit any user data.

GRTRANSCRIPT is a client-side tool. When you use the Extension to extract a transcript:

• All processing happens directly inside your web browser.
• The transcript text is extracted from the YouTube page you are currently viewing.
• The resulting text file is generated locally and saved directly to your computer's "Downloads" folder.
• No data is ever sent to our servers or any third-party analytics services.

2. Permissions

To function correctly, the Extension requires specific permissions. Here is how we use them:

• activeTab: We use this permission to access the content of the YouTube video page you are currently viewing. We only access this data when you explicitly click the Extension button. We do not monitor your browsing history on other tabs or websites.
• scripting: This permission is required to inject the code necessary to locate the transcript text within the webpage or to intercept the subtitle network request.

3. Third-Party Services

This Extension interacts with YouTube to retrieve content at your request. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google. The content you download is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service.

4. Data Storage

We do not maintain a database of your activity. The extracted transcripts are stored solely on your local device. If you uninstall the Extension, no data remains with us because we never possessed it in the first place.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Since we do not collect user contact information, we encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes. Continued use of the Extension after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
